Roles come from companies' own public job boards, so they are real openings rather than estimates, but only about half of employers publish one that way. A company missing from a city is often a gap in our index rather than a company that is not hiring there.
Pay ranges are the middle half (25th to 75th percentile) of wages employers actually filed with the US Department of Labor for H-1B applications, with the number of filings in brackets. They are real filed figures rather than estimates or self-reported surveys, but they cover sponsored roles only, are base salary without equity or bonus, and are national rather than specific to this city. Treat them as a floor to reason from, not a quote.
